"Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers, but to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it."

"To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To give of one's self; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived — This is to have succeeded."

The Begining

I'm not really sure why I'm doing this - but I'm doing it nonetheless. I suppose one could say they do this to 'leave their little mark' on the world. Or, perhaps, they feel it's an easy way to stay in touch - to keep current with family members and friends. It could be that they feel that what they have to say is important and want to share it with the world. I don't think there is any one correct answer - I guess for me it may just be something that comes from the heart.

Well, enough of that for now. I'm just getting started and I need to play here a little. Be assured, though, I'll be back and I hope you will, too!
